Japan Fest Chicago Returns in 2026, Bringing a Celebration of Japanese Culture to the Chicagoland Community
CHICAGO — The Chicago Japanese American Council is excited to announce Japan Fest Chicago’s return in 2026. Inviting attendees from across the Chicagoland area this weekend, July 11 from 11AM - 6PM, and July 12, 11AM - 4PM, to experience two full days of Japanese culture, entertainment, food, and community. Held at Skokie Sports Park East, the festival will once again bring together thousands of visitors for an unforgettable celebration that highlights the rich traditions and modern creativity of Japan.
Over two days, Japan Fest Chicago will feature a diverse lineup of cultural performances, live entertainment, authentic Japanese cuisine, artisan vendors, interactive activities, and cosplay showcases. Whether attendees are lifelong fans of Japanese culture or discovering it for the first time, the festival offers something for all ages and interests.
"Japan Fest Chicago is more than a festival—it's a celebration of culture, creativity, and community," said Mike Tanimura, Chairman of the Chicago Japanese American Council. "We're thrilled to welcome returning guests and first-time visitors alike to experience everything that makes Japan so unique while connecting people through shared interests and cultural appreciation."
