Japan Fest 2025

Japan Fest 2025 marks the 40th anniversary of this community celebration hosted by the Chicago Japanese American Council (CJAC), a coalition of 12 Japanese and Japanese American organizations dedicated to promoting Japanese culture and heritage in the United States. With the support of the Consulate-General of Japan in Chicago and our vibrant local community, this year’s festival promises to be a premier cultural event in the Midwest. 

Taking place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Sports Park East in Skokie, Illinois, the festival will feature a dynamic blend of traditional and contemporary Japanese experiences—from live performances and cultural exhibits to hands-on activities and authentic cuisine.

Our mission is to deepen appreciation for Japanese culture, foster cross-cultural understanding, and strengthen U.S.-Japan relations at the local level. We invite all community members to join us in making Japan Fest 2025 a joyful and inclusive celebration of friendship, heritage, and shared community spirit.
