Konishiki Yasokichi ( Konishiki Yasokichi, born Saleva'a Fuauli Atisano'e on December 31, 1963), is a Hawaiian-born Japanese-Samoan former sumo wrestler.. He was the first non-Japanese-born wrestler to reach Ozeki, the second highest rank in the sport. During his career he won the top division championship on three occasions and came close to becoming the first foreign-born grand champion, or yokozuna.

The Japan Festival 2013 is presented by Mid America Japanese club and Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chicago in with Consulate General of Japan at Chicago partnership and the District 214 Community Education.

Sumo is a competitive full-contact wrestling sport where a wrestler attempts to force another wrestler out of a circular ring or to touch the ground with anything other than the soles of the feet. The sport originated in Japan, the only country where it is practiced professionally.
